Rolfing

When the body experiences physical trauma, the soft tissue (fascia) loses its pliability becoming tight, restricted and tension begins to build through out the body. Trauma can be a fall, whiplash, surgery or just repetitive stress injuries. The fascia can exert excessive pressure producing pain or restriction of motion. They affect flexibility and stability, and are a determining factor in the ability to withstand stress and strain. This form of bodywork loosens up and reorganizes the soft tissue of the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, to bring relief from chronic pain and trauma.
